It's a GIRL!!
Mitch and I had some what of a little competion going when I was expecting Rocky. I would have staked my life on it that he was a girl. I just knew it deep down! So Mitch being the "agreeable" person he is, he was convinced it was a boy. To this day he says he really did think Rocky was a boy but sometimes I wonder. As general rule he likes to choose the opposing side. Anyway, the day of the ultra sound came and we were both kind of quiet while we got ready and headed to the hospital. I kept thinking, "What if I'm wrong, when I have been to adament." Mitch kept thinking, "How can a mother's intuition be wrong?" Well, Mitch was right! And he will never ever let me forget. Don't get me wrong, though. I never was disappointed with my little boy. I always wanted a little boy first so I was so ecstatic! We love our little Rocky Pants! Anyway, when we found out about baby #2 neither of us were very persistent about our thoughts, especially me. But once again I had a nagging feeling that this baby was a girl and Mitch thought it was a boy. So I thought for sure that I was wrong but I still couldn't shake the feeling. I switched my doctor with this pregnancy and we so excited when I found out that the new office did a 16 week gender check. I scheduled an appointment and we headed in on October 13. Guess who was right this time? ME!! And even though I am so excited I can hardly see straight I don't think that anyone is more excited than Mitch. He can't wait to have a baby girl. I've already started buying her clothes and I told Mitch if he thought I had a problem with that with Rocky he ain't seen nothing yet! There are SOOOOOO many cute little girls clothes. We are so excited for this new little addition to our family. Even Rocky knows to point to mommy's tummy when we ask where the baby is.

Fun Summer Weekends
It seems that summer is quickly coming to a close. As much as I love summer, I have to say that fall is my favorite season so I am very excited to the upcoming weather and festivities this time of year brings. However, I will miss the summer vacations and warm weekends when my little family can play outside as long as we'd like.
Over Labor Day weekend we went down to my Grandma's cabin and even though we only stayed for one night we had lots of fun. On or way down we missed our exit on the freeway and didn't realize for quite a while. By the time we noticed it was faster to take a different route. And I'm so glad that we did. On our way through Moroni we saw a real size Mater. For those of you who are unfamiliar with the fanscinating characters in the Cars Disney movie, Mater is the hillariously funny rusty old tow truck. My son has spent at least two hours every day for the past month or so watching Cars and loving Lightning McQueen, Mater and the gang. We have taught Rocky some American Sign Language so that we could better communicate with him and as of late he has started making up his own signs to help us understand what he wants. One day he started moving his hands like he would if he were using a steering wheel. We learned very quicly that that means, "I want to watch Cars." Anyway, we pulled over when we saw Mater and we were able to take some pictures with him. Rocky really wasn't sure how he felt about it. I think he likes Mater better on the TV then life-size and right next to him.
When we got to the cabin Rocky was immediately in heaven. There is a deck that runs almost all the way around the cabin and Rocky would have run around there all day long if we let him. We did have to interrupt his laps to take him for a ride on the 4 wheeler. He absolutely loved it! The little toad is afraid of the little quarter rides at the mall but put him on an ATV and he is in his element.
We celebrated Mitch's birthday while we were at the cabin. To say that Mitch likes Star Wars doesn't even begin to cover it so I bought him a model of the Millenium Falcon that he put together. Rocky thought that was fun to play with. However, he wasn't allowed to touch it unless dad was right there so mostly he ended up playing with the box it came in.
He was not unsatisfied. We kept him busy all day long and needless to say he was worn out come bedtime. After we put Rocky to bed we watched the Blindside with my family and ate some yummy birthday peach cobbler. It was such a fun weekend!

First time blogger
So many of my friends on facebook are always sharing their blogging posts and I have decided it is time for me to give this wide world of blogging a try. Sometimes, I have a hard time believing that people would really want to read about the simple goings-on in the life of my little family. But then I know remember that I really do enjoy reading others blog. So, here goes!
I guess the biggest reason I have been wanting to blog is to try to remember all of the wonderful things that happen in my life. 99% of these fantastic adventures are things that my little man Rocky and my wonderful husband Mitch and myself do from day to day. For those of you who know my family you know that there is NEVER a dull moment when these boys are around.
So...
Since I am a novice, those more experienced please feel free to help me out! Hopefully I'll get the hang of this.
